Membership info:
The Leawood Civic Association
is voluntary. Therefore our main purpose is not to regulate
homeowners. The LCA sponsors many neighborhood activities including
garage sales, picnics, holiday parties and a neighborhood directory.
The LCA also works on other issues impacting our neighborhood such
as the entrance signs. There is an
annual membership fee of $20.00 per household.
Members receive the directory and the monthly newsletter, The Leawood Rapporter, as well as discounts on activities and a say in
the direction of the neighborhood. The money collected
from membership dues also helps pay for the Leawood Scholarship
Fund and special events such as the Leawood clean-up, garage sales, the Leawood picnic, Santa party, and Easter Egg Hunt. Feel free to call

As a voluntary association having active members is
critical. We're always looking for new board members! Not only do we
want your input, we need your help with the activities and other LCA
endeavors, such as the Jay Court entrance signs. We are also the
largest group in the Leawood Parks District and as such work with
them closely to promote our best interests. Please attend our
monthly LCA meetings! You do not have to call ahead, just show up.
Even if you are not an LCA member and you just want to be more
informed feel free to attend. Monthly meetings are held Jan-May &
Sept-Nov at the ReMax office on West Bowles Ave. The June-Aug meetings
will be held at Leawood Park in the park pavilion. The ReMax office is
located one block west of Wadsworth Blvd on Bowles Avenue in the Wells
Fargo Bank building. All Leawood residents and guests are welcome and
encouraged to attend. Contact any board member for details.
